Introduction
Multiple Disability is a combination of two or more than two disabilities at a time.Such as Cerebral Palsy and Mental Retardation, Visual impairment with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Hearing Impairment with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Mental Retardation with Hearing Impairment and Deaf blindness.
Causes of Multiple Disabilities
- Lack of Oxygen at birth
- Chromosomal Abnormalities
- Premature birth
- Difficulties after birth
- Infection
- Blood incompatibility
- High Blood Pressure of mother
- Maternal infection
- Radioactive exposure
- Prolong labor pain
- Low birth weight (average weight of a baby is 3.5 kg)

Management of Multiple Disability is a challenging job and it requires proper tailored plan as per the need of individual.
For children with Multiple Disabilities, we can use physical and occupational therapy, some assistive tools such as braille, hearing aids, large key keyboards, tablets, sign language, etc.
